2022 Round 8 Hilites - Cameron Zurhaar - North Melbourne

The 2021 Mark of the Year was taken on the Friday night of Round 8 (Richmond’s Shai Bolton at the MCG) and history may have repeated with Zurhaar staking a claim for this year’s honour at Optus Stadium. There were few highlights for North Melbourne in a 78-point loss to the Fremantle Dockers, but the rugged forward’s leap on to 201cm teammate Todd Goldstein’s shoulder to mark Flynn Perez’s kick was simply spectacular. He proceeded to boot his side’s first goal from the resultant kick.
