2024 AFL Round 4 Rising Star - Sam Darcy - Western Bulldogs

For the second round in a row a Western Bulldog pup got the nod for the AFL's Rising Star nomination, with the son of former club captain Luke Darcy producing an eye-catching exhibition against the Geelong Cats. The 208cm forward/ruck booted a team-high 3 goals in only his 10th senior game in the narrow loss, made more impressive by the fact he played only 55% game time. Darcy also had 8 hit-outs and laid 4 tackles.
