A remarkable comeback by Port Adelaide, who snatched victory over Hawthorn by 1 point with 2 goals in the final 25 seconds after trailing by 41 points late in the third quarter. The hero was defender turned forward Byrne-Jones, soccering a major with 8 seconds remaining on the clock after Zak Butters' long centre clearance and Jed McEntee's tackle on Karl Amon spilt the football free only a few metres from goal.
