A fiery Showdown 56 (with the ledger now standing at 28 wins each) provided the backdrop for the Port Adelaide vice-captain to produce a fabulous game in which he had a career-high 42 disposals (24 kicks and 18 handballs) in the Power's hard-fought 22-point victory. Butters brilliant display included match-highs for clearances (10), score involvements (10) and metres gained (a massive 748), and he also laid 5 tackles.
