In front of a capacity crowd at the Gabba to kick-off the Easter Round, the former No.1 AFL Draft pick returned to the forward line for the first time in 2023, and with devastating effect. Combining spectacular marking with explosive ground-level play, Rayner booted 4 goals (an equal career high) by half-way through the third quarter to set up the Brisbane Lions match-winning lead. He had a total of 10 score involvements in his brilliant display.
