The first West Australian taken in last year’s NAB AFL Draft (pick 9) has made an early return on the West Coast Eagles investment with a strong start to his AFL career and the club’s first Rising Star nomination since Oscar Allen in late 2019. The big-bodied midfielder had 20 disposals in the Derby against the Fremantle Dockers, including an equal team-best 13 contested possessions. Ginbey’s 6 clearances ranked first for the Eagles.
