The third West Coast Eagle to be nominated for the Rising Star award in 2023 is the classy midfielder who was one of the side's few shining lights in a dismal and record-breaking 101-point loss to arch-rivals the Fremantle Dockers. Hewett, a first-round pick (No.14) at last year's NAB AFL Draft, had 20 disposals (10 of them contested) including 4 intercepts and 4 clearances to be among the Eagles best in a continuation of his strong late-season form.
