The great escape artists did it again in front of a record crowd for a Carlton-Collingwood home-and-away game (88,287), with the Magpies coming from 24 points behind at 3/4 time (a record against the Blues) to kick the only 5 goals of the final quarter and snatch a 1-point victory. The final 2 majors were simply breathtaking: McCreery bombing from 45m on the boundary line and Elliott threading from 30m on the run on a tight angle.
