On a record-breaking day the Geelong Cats captain starred in his side’s mammoth 81-point Grand Final destruction of the Sydney Swans. Selwood, the first Cat to play in 4 Premierships, set the scene with 12 first quarter disposals as the team led 6.5 to 1.0 at the first change. The 34-year-old finished with 26 which included a brilliant final term ‘banana’ goal and a total of 6 score involvements in his AFL record 40th final and record-equalling 31st final at the MCG.
