The Collingwood star continued his brilliant late-season form with a second stunning finals showing in a row as the Magpies eclipsed the Fremantle Dockers by 20 points to advance to a Preliminary Final showdown with the Sydney Swans. De Goey, with his power and pace at full throttle, was easily best afield with a match high 12 score involvements (no other player had more than 7) and No.1 ranked for metres gained (626), inside 50s (8) and centre clearances (5).
