One of only 6 Demons to have played every game in 2023, the teenage West Australian has been a revelation for Melbourne across half-back and picked up the Round 18 Rising Star nomination after another strong performance in the thrilling win against the Brisbane Lions. The speedy McVee had 14 disposals at 86% efficiency with half of them being intercepts and including 5 rebounds from defensive 50 (only Steven May with 6 had more for the Demons).
