The second release of AFL Select Brilliance was released in August 2022. 

Base Set

The second series of Brilliance was expanded from 36 base cards to 68 base cards.

Of the 18 clubs, 16 clubs have four base cards and Gold Coast Suns and GWS feature two cards from each of those clubs. 

Each base card is individually numbered to 50 only.

Each box contains one card, with a platinum metallic finish and encased in a Card Armour Card Safe.  

Superstar Gold Cards  

Introduced in Brilliance 2022 are the Superstar Gold Cards (18 cards) featuring 1 player from each team.

There are both current and past Superstars included within the Superstar Gold Card Series. 

Current Superstars include Patrick Cripps, Dustin Martin and Lance Franklin to name a few.  Some of the past player Superstars include Michael Voss, Luke Hodge and Chris Judd.

Each card from the Superstar Gold Series is individually number to 35 only.

Premiership Captain and Coach Dual Autograph Cards

Randomly inserted within the series are six (6) Premiership Captain and Coach Dual Autograph Cards with each limited to 50 only. 

The Premiership Captain and Coach Dual Autograph Cards are:

• Brisbane - Leigh Matthews and Michael Voss (**)
• Carlton - David Parkin and Stephen Kernahan (*)
• Geelong - Chris Scott and Cameron Ling (**)
• Melbourne - Simon Goodwin and Max Gawn (**)
• North Melbourne - Denis Pagan and Wayne Carey (*) 
• Richmond - Damien Hardwick and Trent Cotchin (**)

* Dual Autograph Card packed directly into the release. **Dual Autograph has a redemption card in the release, but the signed card is available to be redeemed as per instructions on the back of redemption card. 

Production

Only a total of 4330 of the 2022 Brilliance boxes were produced.

Please Note

Each card is housed in a 180pt Card Armour Card Safe with a sticker with states 'Secure - Void if Removed'.

The purpose of the sticker is to confirm the product has not been tampered, altered or varied during transit. Collectors are free to remove the sticker to store or display the card in accordance with their preference.
