For the second week in a row the rangy winger was a hero for Carlton at the MCG in a 1-kick, knock-out finals victory. After 2 goal-line touches to prevent Sydney Swans goals - and booting the Blues only major of the final term - in the Elimination Final thriller, Acres stepped up again to kick the match-winner with 60 seconds remaining against Melbourne. He marked Sam Docherty's long kick at the top of the goal-square before dribbling through the go-ahead goal.
