Ovation was Select's second series release for 2004. 

Ovation includes amongst its insert series an AFL Indigenous Player card in each pack (44 cards), 2004 Rising Stars (22), Heritage Guernseys (16), 2003 Best & Fairest (17) and the continuation of the AFL/VFL Premiership Commemorative  cards (9).

Ovation also includes a number of signature cards including Top Prospects signatures (12), Game Breaker signature of Warren Tredrea (1), and the continuation of the AFL Captains Signature Series (6).

The 2004 Ovation Captains Signature Series features for the first time dual signature Captains Signature cards - Ratten / Koutoufides (Carlton), Stevens / Simpson (Kangaroos), and Hamill / Hayes. Other 2004 Ovation Captain Signature cards includes Peter Bell (Fremantle), Steve King (Geelong) and Stuart Maxfield (Sydney).

Two 300 Game case cards were released with one card available every case. The two players featured were Francis Bourke and Alastair Lynch.

The Ovation release is limited to 375 cases / 4500 boxes and is SOLD OUT.
