Supremacy – A 30th Anniversary Release

Supremacy – A 30th Anniversary Release

Released to celebrate Select’s 30th Anniversary involvement with the AFL, Supremacy quickly became the flagship of modern Australian collector card releases.

Selling out in less than 3 days from the release date of 19th September 2019, Supremacy created a new benchmark in quality and collectability for Australian collector cards.

What made the sellout even more extraordinary was the fact that each Supremacy box contained one packet at a cost of $500.00.  In turn each packet contained 10 cards with every single card in Supremacy series foiled numbered.

The Series printed on 135pt board featured over 120 on card autograph cards and the first every Quad autograph card featuring the coaching greats David Parkin, Kevin Sheedy, Leigh Matthews and Ronald Dale Barassi.

The series was comprised of the following:

  • Base Set of 108 cards (individually numbered to 99)
  • Franchise Future Signature of 36 cards (individually numbered to 70)
  • Norm Smith Medallist of 37 cards (individually numbered to 65)
  • Finals Folklore of 17 cards (individually numbered to 70)
  • Premiership Glory of 30 cards (individually numbered to 40)
  • Premiership Brownlow Double of 36 cards (individually numbered to 65)
  • Superstar Patch of 18 cards (individually numbered to 70)
  • Norm Smith Medallist Signatures of 14 cards (individually numbered to 55)
  • Finals Folklore Signatures of 17 cards (individually numbered to 70)
  • Premiership Glory Signatures of 30 cards (individually numbered to 40)
  • Premiership Brownlow Double of 6 cards (individually numbered to 25)
  • Superstar Signature Patch Booklet of 18 cards (individually numbered to 25)
  • Quad Coaches Signature Booklet (individually numbered to 25)

All signatures in Supremacy were on-card signatures and the Superstar patch cards were all made using game worn guernseys of the player featured on the card.

As Select we enjoyed releasing Supremacy which had such a positive impact on the industry and was so well accepted by collectors.
